Acceptable use policy
Last updated 11 September 2026
This policy forms part of our terms of service and sets out how Boiler Doctor Aid may and may not be used. Breaking it can lead to suspension or closure of your account.
1. Honest certification
- Only issue a gas safety record, warning notice or service sheet for work you have actually carried out and are qualified to certify.
- Do not sign on someone else's behalf, back-date documents or record readings you did not take.
- Do not use another engineer's Gas Safe number or licence details.
2. Customer data
- Only enter customer information you are entitled to hold, and use it only for the work you were engaged to do.
- Do not upload data you obtained unlawfully or from a previous employer without permission.
- Keep your device locked and sign out on shared devices.
3. Shared reference data
- Reports and corrections you submit about boilers, parts and fault codes must be genuine and based on real jobs.
- Do not submit test entries, spam, or copied manufacturer or supplier content you are not licensed to share.
- Parts you save for your business stay private to your organisation unless you knowingly submit them for review.
4. Security and fair use
- No scraping, bulk automated requests, penetration testing or attempts to reach another organisation's records.
- No reselling, sublicensing or sharing your login outside your own business.
- No uploading malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone's rights.
5. Reporting a problem
If you spot a security issue or something being misused, tell us at dhqualitygasnplumbing@gmail.com rather than testing it further. We will look into it promptly and will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue responsibly.
