Terms of service

Last updated 11 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and DH Quality Gas & Plumbing, trading as Boiler Doctor Aid, for use of the Boiler Doctor Aid app and website. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are

Boiler Doctor Aid is operated by DH Quality Gas & Plumbing Limited, a limited company registered in England and Wales(company number 8239451). Our registered address is 168 Tilson House, Tilson Gardens, London SW2 4NB. You can reach us at dhqualitygasnplumbing@gmail.com or 07404 828042. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Boiler Doctor Aid; "you" means the business or engineer using the app.

2. Business use only

The app is supplied for business use by gas engineers, plumbers and their staff. It is not aimed at consumers, so consumer contract rights (including the 14-day cancellation right) do not usually apply. If you are a sole trader signing up in a personal capacity, tell us and we will honour your statutory rights.

3. Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your password and any two-step codes private.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account and by anyone you invite to your organisation.
  • Accounts are for one business. Do not share a login with another business.
  • You must be Gas Safe registered (or otherwise properly qualified) to carry out and record the work the app documents.

4. Subscription, trial and payment

  • New accounts get 1 month free. After that the price is £12.50 a month, or £90 if you pay yearly.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is taken in advance by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing screen. Cancelling stops the next payment; the current paid period runs to its end.
  • Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or we agree in writing.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
  • We may grant free or discounted access to individual accounts at our discretion, and withdraw it on notice.

5. Your records and content

Your customers, properties, appliances, certificates, invoices, photos, signatures and logo remain yours. You grant us the limited right to host, back up, process and display that content so we can provide the app to you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for holding it in line with your own legal duties (for example landlord gas safety record retention).

You can export or download your records at any time while your subscription is active. After an account closes we keep your data for 30 days so you can recover it, then delete it from live systems.

6. Professional responsibility and technical information

The app is a record-keeping and reference tool. It does not replace your training, your judgement, the manufacturer's instructions, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, current gas safety standards or your Gas Safe registration duties.

  • Fault codes, diagnostic pathways, electrical reference values, appliance data, parts lists and repair estimates are provided as guidance only and may be incomplete or out of date.
  • Always confirm the appliance from its data plate and the manufacturer's own literature before working on it or ordering parts.
  • Prices and part availability shown by supplier links are the supplier's, not ours, and change without notice.
  • Certificates you issue are your professional documents. You are the person certifying the work, not us.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the app. Full details are in our acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep the app available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages and mobile network problems can interrupt it. Offline mode lets you keep working without signal; records sync when you are back in range.

Support is by email during normal working hours. We do not offer a guaranteed response time.

9. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, code, templates, catalogue content and branding belong to us or our licensors. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own business while you are subscribed. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from it.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period.

We are not liable for decisions taken on site, for the accuracy of certificates you issue, or for parts bought from third-party suppliers.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or has unpaid fees. We will normally warn you first unless the breach is serious. You may close your account at any time from the app or by emailing us.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
